Hi, I'm Zane.

I design and build websites, web applications, and custom tools. Some are for local businesses, like Pile Pickers and Walrus Subs. Others are products of my own, like Penned.

Working across design and development means I can follow an idea all the way through: from figuring out what someone needs, to the way an interface feels, to the code that makes it work.

I like the practical details. Making a menu easier to find. Removing a step from a booking flow. Building a tool that saves someone a few hours every week. Those are the things that make a project useful.

You talk to the person doing the work. We agree on the scope and price before I start, you see progress on a live preview, and you own the code and accounts when we finish.

I work with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, Supabase, and Stripe. The stack depends on the project; the goal is something that works well and stays easy to look after.
